Financial empowerment is about control - your control over your money. BowWest's financial empowerment programs help people spend less, save more, and set goals for the future.

Money Management

BowWest offers workshops that help individuals and families learn how to get the most from each dollar. We are also available for one-on-one support with specific financial issues including: debt reduction, savings, budgets and eligibility for financial support.

Dollars & Cents
Take one or ALL 5 of our Dollars & Cents workshops. The workshops help you develop the financial skills and knowledge you need to build the life you want.

Earn and Learn
After completing the workshops covering financial skills, you move into a matched savings program. There the money you save is matched 3:1. By saving between $20-$50 a month, you can finish the program with $60-$150 per month.

Financial Coaching
Work with a personal financial coach. They will help you set and reach your financial goals to lead the life you want. In the past people have worked to reduce their debt, improve their credit and save to start a business or buy a house.

Free Tax Clinics

Volunteer tax preparers help you file your taxes. Once this is done, we assist you to access benefit programs. If you want to do more, we can work with you to make a plan for how you can use your tax refund to build financial sustainability.

Education Savings

Ask us how to set up a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for your children or grandchildren. A RESP helps you set aside money for your children's future education.  Each child registered with the program may be eligible to receive up to $2,000 in free money from the federal government.

Join us for the workshops online. Financial coaching now happens over the phone and online.
