Housing Stabilization

BowWest can support people in financial crisis by assisting with rent or utility arrears, basic furniture, unexpected medical costs or specialized equipment or clothing for employment.

BowWest also refers people to Habitat for Humanity’s PEAK home ownership program and Accessible Housing.
 

Furniture & Household Goods

BowWest provides information and refers people who need furniture and/or household goods to Women in Need(WINS),  Salvation Army, Interfaith Furniture, Sleep Country and the Calgary Drop-In Furniture Program. Our clothing room also stocks some donated beddings.
 

Bus Tickets

Contact BowWest for information on how to access the Fair Entry program for subsidized transit fees and for transit tickets to attend medical appointments, court, counselling, and for job interviews.

We can also provide a bus pass to people starting a new job.

Youth bus tickets are available for young people searching for employment or waiting for their first pay cheque.
