Volunteers
BowWest appreciates what our volunteers help us do in the community. We love them—and they tell us the feeling is mutual!Volunteers help with reception services, staff our free clothing room, help organize and operate special events like community barbecues or focus groups, and assist at Fresh Market Connections, a free-food market held every two weeks in the Bowness and Ranchlands offices. Other volunteers help with free tax clinics, odd jobs and child-minding assistance when caregivers are attending BowWest programs.
All of our volunteers get the information and support they need to do a fantastic and rewarding job. Please see below for the current volunteer positions open. To apply, please send an email to info@bowwest.org or you can also leave a telephone message at (403) 204-8280. Some volunteer positions are also posted on line at https://www.propellus.org
Please note thet due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some volunteer opportunities have been temporarily suspended.
Board & Committee Members
The BowWest Community Support Services Society is always looking for individuals who want to make their communities a better place to live, work and play!
Guided by a strategic plan, our volunteer Board and Committee Members pursue programs and projects that purposefully connect economically-vulnerable individuals and families to the resources they need to leverage the economic, social and educational opportunities that are available to help them lead more resilient lives. Our commitment to Support, Connect and Educate objectively “connects the dots” that lead people and communities to action and positive change.
The Board is open to all. Board work may be especially rewarding for individuals who live or work in one of the communities we serve.
